From the San Francisco Public Library Website at http://sfpl.org/index.php?pg=1018940801

In association with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco, The Chinese Center of the Main Library is proud to present the work of Leland Lee, a 25-year-old internationally renowned Taiwanese artist. Diagnosed with autism at an early age, Leland’s parents and teachers noticed his artistic talent while working to develop his communication skills.

As Leland faces various challenges in life, art becomes an important means of communication for him. He portrays the state of his inner world through his artwork.

Meet the artist and his family on Saturday, January 24, 1:30 PM in the Library’s Latino/Hispanic Meeting Room.

Another short article will also be written and included in the Library’s Newsletter for January 2015 issue. They also have already created a PowerPoint from some of Leland’s Art that can be downloaded here.
